It's no secret that the Lake District has incredible scenery, so if you want to add something a little bit special to your stag weekend, why not head somewhere with amazing views? Keswick is a town with spectacular panoramas of mountains including Blencathra, Skiddaw and Catbells. It also sits on the gorgeous lake of Derwentwater, so you can be sure that you're getting a taste of the best Lake District scenery.

Keswick is known as the Adventure Capital of the Lake District thanks to its access to the mountains, lakes, and rivers. Your stag group will no doubt want to have a few good meals and several pints during your stay. While Keswick doesn't offer the wildest night out, there are plenty of pubs serving delicious local ales that are perfect for a refreshing mid-afternoon break or an evening with your mates. There are also plenty of restaurants to choose from, all within walking distance of one another, serving anything from pizza to fish & chips to Thai food.

With Keswick being so popular, you won't be surprised that there's plenty of fantastic accommodation on offer. Either right in the centre of town, or on the outskirts, there's something to suit every taste. 5. Convenient Transport
However you're travelling to and around the Lake District, there are good transport links to be found. Junction 40 off the M6 is just half an hour away from Keswick at Penrith, or get a train to Carlisle or Workington before taking the bus to Keswick. While you're here, there are plenty of good bus links from Keswick to other popular Lake District locations such as Windermere, Ambleside, and Ullswater. So, even hungover, you'll have ways of getting out and about!
