After being granted planning permission for improvements, we are delighted to announce our new up-and-coming venue in the heart of Keswick!

We've been on the lookout for the perfect venue for a few years now, after we outgrew our old home on Sunset Hill, on the outskirts of the town. We had a temporary stint at the Old Pencil Factory, but were unable to use it during our busiest period in the summer, so we knew we had to keep looking for somewhere our visitors could prep for their adventure in comfort.

Finally, after lots of searching, we finally found our new home on Crosthwaite Road, Keswick. Though we actually secured the property in 2024, it's taken us until now to redecorate and get the planning permission we needed to make it an awesome venue. That came through just a week ago, so we're full steam ahead renovating it ready for the season.

Venue Improvements

The old garage where we're now based is a huge warehouse space with lots of potential. We're in the middle of breaking the space down into different areas to really improve it as a venue where our staff can relax between work, our visitors can get changed into their safety kit and be briefed about their adventure, and we can run our exciting range of indoor activities.

There will also be space to store all our kit. This is extra important as we spend a lot of money on making sure we have the best, toughest and warmest kit, so that visitors are safe and comfortable during their activities. We need a good space where it can be properly dried, stored and maintained to make sure it retains its high quality.

Indoor Activities

During wetter and colder days, we'll also be welcoming groups to take part in a range of indoor activities including axe throwing, battle archery, and target archery. The space will mean we can welcome large groups such as stag dos, hen dos and corporate groups, as well as smaller groups of friends and family.

Our outdoor activities are particularly popular with visitors to the area, and we hope the indoor activities will see lots of interest from them too. However, we're also really excited to welcome local people from Keswick, Whitehaven, Maryport, Workington and more to enjoy birthday parties, celebrations, and days out. We think these will be the perfect type of activity, particularly during the winter months when indoor weekend and holiday activities can be limited.

We've still got some work to do to before it's completed, but we've been working hard ever since receiving planning permission to make sure our new home looks its best.
