We're excited this year to be running our first ever Santa Stroll to raise money for Keswick Mountain Rescue!
What is the Keswick Santa Stroll?
A Santa Stroll is like a festive fun run, but without the running. Instead, we'll taking a gentle walk up Latrigg - one of the Lake District's easiest mountains to hike - and back again into Keswick. Everyone who takes part can make a donation (as big or as small as you like) and all the funds raised will go towards the great work that Keswick Mountain Rescue do.
Most importantly, the Keswick Santa Stroll is in full fancy dress! So get out your Santa hats, your Rudolf noses, and your fairy wings. You can dress up as anything festive so we can all have a good laugh as well as raise money for an important cause.
About Keswick Mountain Rescue
Keswick Mountain Rescue is a group of volunteer search and rescuers who are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to aid people who have found themselves in difficulty in the mountains. They cover a wide area of the Lake District including Borrowdale, the Helvellyn Range, and the Skiddaw peaks. Volunteers regularly risk their lives in all sorts of weather and temperatures to save the lives of others. So far in 2025 alone they have attended 117 rescues, totalling 4,682 man hours. If that doesn't deserve our support, we don't know what does!
Details and how to join
Everyone who can manage the walk is welcome to join, as long as you come in Christmas fancy dress! There is no set donation, so just donate what you like. Here are some important details:

Meeting Point: Keswick Adventures Base on Crosthwaite Road, Keswick, CA12 5PP
Meet Time: 1:45 PM
Start Time: 2:00 PM sharp
Route: Walk from base up Latrigg and back (approx. 1.5–2 hours round trip)
There will be festive treats (mince pies and hot drinks) available at the summit to refresh your energy, and we can promise plenty of Christmas cheer.
